A quick comparison (pt.1)…
So this is the first 2 pages of my first short story in the anthology Afterworks 1, my goal was to try and tell a gag in 8 pgs and giving myself a couple of weeks to layout and finish the pages in time to go to print, easy enough right? Well it took me a month to finish, I even took a week off of work to finish it. (just a bit off my intended schedule of 2 weeks) In the end, I finished it in time and was relatively happy with the end result, this is a learning process after all and I learned 1. that I liked the the medium and 2. it was a lot of work.
this is the promotional poster I made for the alternative press expo in 05, when I shared a table with my boy Sanjay Patel.

Wow, Louis.
Looks and sounds like a HUGE accomplishment, congrats!
I guess you can sleep now.
I can’t wait to see the whole thing.

Thanks Nick, I’ve definitley been catching up on my sleeping, eating, reading, you know, having a life.
Your short looks good, I hope you get the chance to see it all the way to the finish at some point.

I second what Nick is saying. You’re a machine Louis. I can’t see the images here, but I’m sure I’ll be blown away by your afterworks contribution. Thanks for the boost.
